I cant take these F**KING cars anymore

Yes the cap is a 16 lb cap.

Water pump is 30 miles old. The overflow was full to the top when I shut down the motor.

I tested the t-stat and it works, well it last worked. It could have failed.

Could A sensor on the intake manifold gone bad?

time to pull the heads off again...

Or you could go to Napa and buy a $65 "block tester" and test to see if you have an combustion gases in your coolant @ your radiator. This could tell you if you have a cracked head/block, bad head gasket, or warped heads/block. Better than pulling heads. Also you could check compression or pull some spark plugs and look to see if the tip is white due to burning coolant.....

The kit is expensive but works well. How much water have you added? If it is over the maximum capacity, and it is not on the floor, then there is really only one other possiblity. Headgasket time.

This last time the water level was down about half in the radiator. Before I took the car out I filled the radiator and got the air out of the upper hose. The over flow was half full.

The only other thing I can think of, is if there is coolant seeping into the in combustion chamber, which on a cold start causes a very rough idle and moisture out of the rear pipes. But after 30 sec everything clears up.

HG's already? WOW I have the RJC HG's with 0 passes on them and probably only 150 miles on them.

If you're continuing to add water/coolant and it keeps going down, it's going somewhere. If it isn't a headgasket, maybe a cracked head. Is the coolant level stable now or is it still going down?
Buy the kit at NAPA or drain the oil and watch it come out. You will be able to see the coolant draining out. Don't drive the car till you figure this out.
If the coolant level is no longer going down then ignore everything I said.

Hmmm, When the car is off the coolant level stays the same. Its low after a few heat cycles and the car cools.

If the head has a crack would there be white smoke out of the rear of the car? and a bad idle?

Thanks for the help

Andrew! Go to a parts house & get a can of K&W block sealer. Follow the instructions on the can & if you have any combustion gases getting into the cooling system it works very well . Has saved me many times. The cooling system has to be completely drained of any coolant first. Add water only & warm engine up. Add product drive it around & put it under load then drain cooling system, pull the plugs to get air into the cylinders & let it set over night. Then refill again with water only .Just to verify it worked. If it does then add coolant again. This stuff will not plug your cooling system or create any other problems if used correctly. I swear by it. Call me before you go postal. Lou

Yes. If you are losing coolant, and have white smoke, the union between the head and the block has been compromised-cracke block, cracked head, blown headgasket. Get under the car, and drain the oil. See what comes out.
Don't use a block sealer on your car.

Almost went postal for a sec...thanks Lou!!!! LOL

 .. you haven't owned your car longer then a year, to be able to go Postal.. wait in till you hit 14 years of the same GN like me lol..

you will figure out the problem soon.. if not, your water company will love you

Maybe a HG....Before I changed to an Fbody radiator I noticed some black chunks of something in the radiator. I use the RJC Racing HG's (the ones where you put that black sh*t on) and the particles in the radiator looked like that black stuff used on the HG's.

We don't sell them becuase we are embarrased of the amount of money we put into it and the amount we would "eat" if we just sold them.
Additionally, we are determined to prove to the ones that said, "don't buy the car it will become a money pit from hell..." these people can include, but not limit to: father, mother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, close relatives, friends, girlfriend, personal sheep, and wife.
In another addition to the first addition we need to fix the car so we can race that one guy that challenged you 3 1/2 years ago becuase at the time your car wasn't running correctly.
In addition to the other addition I mentioned before the addition after the first addition we don't sell becuase we still owe a couple people a ride in a cool car.
In my fourth and final addition some people actually enjoy working on broken cars???

In the PS addition I dont sell becuase I wouldnn't make enough money to buy a huffy bicycle; I would feel bad for whom ever bought it.
