Hey crowd. Not that the Bu is ready, nor do I have any extra money, but I decided to fulfill my addiction. I'm new to the TR, but not new to the hobby. My current project is 1978 Malibu, 454, factory 4 speed. Some prior rides: 1987 Mustang GT, 1973 Corvette w/matching number 454, 1968 Chevelle SS 396, 2005 GTO, 6 speed, 2008 TBSS So:

1987 Regal T-type WE4 car. For the few of you that don't know what WE4 cars are, they were a VERY limited production Regals (1547 made) that were called Grand National killers. It is lighter than the GN, but otherwise has all the same goodies in it, except the GN two tone interior.

This car has ORIGINAL 54k miles, which was confirmed by my extensive research, and looking at it and driving it, it does feel like 54k mile car.

It has the usual issues: cracked bumper fillers, leaky rear window, outdated upgrades that were top of the line in the 90s, but absolete today, few paint blemishes, but nothing that can't be fixed.

Hello and Welcome to Turbobuick.com!!! :)

Looks like you have/had some very nice cars.

A little update. The car is getting Jim Dunn's treatment from Buick Turbo Performance. New injectors, valve springs, COMPLETE tune-up, rear main seal, FP hot wire kit, new HP fuel pump, RJC power plate, scanmaster and just fixing few odds and ends. Just look at the attention to the detail:

The flange was was cut by previous owner, according to Jim it's not a big deal it was done for better seal

Remember what I said about paying attention to the detail.... look at that:

Detail, detail and ...one more time DETAIL!

Once again it is being done by Jim Dunn! What a pleasure to deal with, aside from of course... attention to THE DETAIL.

Thank you Jim.

One thing you don't want to forget: attention to THE DETAIL!!!!

Picked up my car today from Jim Dunn. What do they say: a picture is better than a thousand words? I'll let you be the judge.

While he was waiting for me to get to his place TODAY, he: painted the rocker, painted the gas tank, cleaned and clear coated all wheels, painted the gas tank and the exhaust tips (which were peeling and looked awful)

Do you guys think I should go back to him when I'm ready for some performance mods? :)

Some updates on my build.

Had front and rear bumpers disassembled, powdercoated gloss black, inside supports blasted and painted clear (remember it's WE4, so they are aluminum), new impact strips installed

New Spoolfool's fillers installed. What a great product!

I'm sure my NY friends noticed Statue of Liberty plates. Yes, those are registered to the car.

Oh Yes, almost forgot. Upgraded from still original exhaust to 3" ATR with Magnaflows (original Pit Bulls were rotted to shit). Got rid of clogged up cat.

Wow!
That thing cleaned up into a very sweet show car. Congrats on a job well done. It's about time we finally see some pics of that sled.:)

Glad I could be part of it. :)

I'm going back to Jim soon for a new downpipe. If the OT stays up, maybe even an Alky kit :)
