Oil filter not working

It's not possible. the way the filter adapter is designed, if you have pressure, oil has to hit the filter.

Granted, not all the oil hits the filter (and some of the oil bypasses the filter media inside the filter) but it should still be wet.

When you had the old filter on there, did you car have start up rattle when you first started it?
I cut the filter open and it was getting oil. I think when I change oil there is always some oil left in the filter. Never used a Mobil filter before, the anti drain back valve must of not been working so filter emptied it self. I have never had any noise at all when starting my car. However my cam sensor does make a little. My oil pressure is 20 psi hot at idle, and 45 to 50 hot at 2000 rpm vary responsive with gas peddle changes. Thanks Earl
