Oil Pressure

Oil pressure gauge is going berserk, bouncing all over the place 25-60 psi, moving around alot when accelerating and decelerating. I let a buddy drive it in the 95degree weather here today with super high humidity, he was doing WOT a number of times:mad: before he drove it, it stay around 45 constant. I just got the car about a week ago so ill freak if something was blown, using precaution :)

Sounds like it's doing what it should be. Whent he car is cold, the oil pressure is "regulated" by the relief spring. As the car warms, the oil becomes less viscous and pressure goes down. The as you increase or decrease RPM's the pressure should increase or decrease along with RPM. The general rule of thumb is 10psi per 1000 RPM. Now if it was instanly jumping around all over with no changes in RPM, I would suspect a bad connection in the gage wiring...
