picking up a GN

alright i need some advice i am going to pick up my first gn and right now am looking at a 85 that had the top half converted to a 87. now my plans for this car are to go high 10's in street trim. first off how much rwhp cant the motors take before they need to be built. next what kinda work would need to be done i have searched around for theards on how to make a 11 second 10 second car but have come up with nothing i have looked for almost a week now. so if im missing something please chime in. just a little info i own a 03 3800 turbo charged impala so i do know my **** its just i dont know much about the older 3800's if they are different at all.

High 10s will be very difficult without race gas or alky.
These motors can go high 11s with race gas/alky and very few MODS.
After that, it requires upgrades on turbo, innercooler, convertor, injectors, ported heads, etc.
