first off..
are you always able to reach ambient on the ait's..?
If so, is going above 25% fueling reccomended to get there..?
(combo..'97 T/A..LT1..D1 (sc) non-intercooled..dual nozzle Alky-control set-up)

2nd..
verifying the controls..
the way I understand it..(am I right?) and related questions..:

A>>the pot identified as "TURN-ON" sets the starting voltage "INPUT"
from the MAP sensor..(instructions say 1.7 to 5 volts)..
on a 3-bar MAP the 10 o'clock postion is approx 4 psi..?

adjusting this pot CCW lowers the input voltage it's looking for, to bring
on the system at a lower boost level..?

B>>the pot identified as "INITIAL" sets the starting voltage "OUTPUT"
to the pump motor..(instructions say typical starting output voltage is 1-3 volts) generally the starting position is the 11:30 position..?

adjusting this pot CW increases the amount of voltage to the pump when
it comes on at the TURN-ON's setting for boost level..?

this is only for setting the starting point or rather for the starting voltage to the pump?

C>>the REMOTE KNOB/"PUMP GAIN CONTROL" adjusts "output" voltage by
affectively multiplying the "INTIAL" 's output voltage by some %...?

what is the % of multiplication...?

is there a relationship of 0-100% in the full rotation of the knob..?

is the maximum pump output always going to be the voltage from
your charging system..? (for ex: 14 or 16 volts) Or does the controller set-up
a maximum output voltage internally..?

or does the remote knob amplify the output voltage to a percent above,
regardless of your charging system's output..?

Thanks Ahead!

Cant wait to hear the answer for this one...

Hahahaha..
yeah..I know..long winded eh..?
but I hate doing things without detailed info on what is happenin'
and what to expect..
just my background and nature I guess..

Matt,
Why are you trying to reach ambient? With non-ic its a losing battle. You should target temps under 140-150 and as long as your knock activity is ZERO.. kiss and leave it alone. You need temp to combust gas.. and artic temps dont make more power.. as power gains when you start going under 130 DF are negligible.

Flooding your engine with alcohol will drop power and create issues. Tune for zero knock.. and watch your temps. Then tune your IAT timing tables so if they climb above 160 for example.. they start to pull timing.

11 degrees per PSI is rule of thumb. 20 PSI=220 DF plus ambient.. so 300 degree temp.. and you want ambient.. no way. If you get 150-160 out of a setup like this.. your gloden. Want further, add an IC.

HTH

Ohh .. one question at a time.. and techincal.. call me.. i'll walk you through it.

Thanks

That's what i was wonderin' about being non-ic..
I'm at 140-160 at 20% fueling..wondered what the limit was..
and if I could go to pump gas at those ait's..

Thanks!..
I'm headed to the phone,,
