not really. If you can look at it and tell, it's REALLY ballooned.

Because it was in the way and just dead weight. (and at the time were fetching $30 or $40 on Ebay)

If the converter was painted you might see discoloration of burnt off paint.

Not usually but they use front mounts for the most part now.

I don't think they're Wisecos. That goofy step around the valve relief doesn't look like something they would do.
