Does anyone use a TE60 turbo anymore? I have been running one for 8 years now, but I dont see anyone talking about them. How does it compare to a 44 or a te63? or anything else?

I purchased mine in July this year, did a lot of comparing, and asked on this board for suggestions and the TE 60 was the choice. I switched to a 2800 stall converter and the car seems to haul A$$ pretty good so far. Most of the mods I did this summer from info I gathered from members on this site.:D :D :D

We dynod a Stage 1 motor with ported iron heads a few years ago. Motor made 540hp and 590 ft-lbs of torque.

Max boost was 23 psi after that there was no difference in hp or torque. Turbo would not flow any more air.

I have seen those turbos push a GN to 10.88 ETs. That is about its limit.

Hope that helps

I have two cars with the 60-61 series turbo. One car has a stock converter with a TA-60, and basically kicks ass.
Other car has a TA-61 with Art Carr 10" converter and it kicks ass.
The are a couple of other guys in town that have either used the 60 series( 60-61 ) recently or still do.

But don't forget about the TE-45(A). That is what I am getting next.:D
