Does anyone know of anyone that does good tuning in Sacramento are near Sacramento. How hard is it to tune your car and what is needed. Please help.

To start with, all sensors must be in spec & good plugs.
You need a scantool to check the sensors and a fuel pressure gauage to check fuel under boost.
Next read Razor's post in the alky section about how to dial in your car with alky.
I don't have one but a wideband O2 is really needed for fine tuning.

I already have a scanmaster and a fuel pressure gauge. I just want to tune it before I go to LA next month.

Not too hard, but it's easy to puke head gaskets if you're not careful......

go to www.gnttype.org, then go into the tech sections and do the spring cleaning, so you can establish a baseline.

Then it's a matter of tuning the car for max boost without knock on 93 octane (no alky; then add the alky and increase the boost. Slowly and a bit at a time, and run the car on the rich side to be safe....

Should I try to do this myself or wait for LA at the test&tune next month for help there
