What else can cause no shift?

Last night my car went from very late, to no shift at all. It would stay in first gear. I of course checked the t.v. adjustment, but this did nothing. I then dropped the pan and looked at the governor spring to make sure it was still there, and it was. All looked normal where the t.v. cable connects to the trans. What are some other causes of no shifting? The trans was rebuilt about 2 years ago and all was great until last night.

You may have some sticking valves in the valve body, i.e. TV valve, 1-2 throttle valve, etc. You'll have to pull it down to check it.
