It works in terms of being a 1.5 din, but I read in an older thread that you have to be careful in terms of whether the stereo runs off 12v or data link, something like that. Would this work with the typical wiring adapter that we run with stereos in our cars, or not?

I'd assume if they designed it as 1.5din which is popular for GM and Chrysler that they also designed it to work with the 12v hookup, but I can't afford a $200 assumption.
I'd like something a little fancier than the newer GM CD players that most people recommend, but I'll settle for a Delco if those really are easier to install/run.
