I looked into buying one last year but was scared off.I talked to some reputable mechanics who really didnt have horrible things to say about it.It has got to be better than the Jaguar V12.One thing i would make sure however is to have full mtc records with the car and get one with the lowest miles.Also, if i was back in the market i would seriously consider the 840CI.It is newer and has the V8 engine which is probably cheaper to maintain and almost as powerful.

I agree--maintenance records are key. I think if the car has had the scheduled maintenance and that can be documented, I'm much more likely to buy it. I agree about the v8 being less risky, but that smooth power and torque of the v12 is supposedly "like buttah." Gas mileage is equally sucky on both as I hear it....
