Correction : these are originally for aluminum hoods but work perfectly on our steel hood & have 96 lbs compression vs 120 lb compression for the originals

Get these ones made for a Fiberglass hood.
They work perfectly & keep a steel hood up when opened , but allow it to close completely & effortlessly without having to slam it down.

What exhaust housing is on the turbo Garrett or Precision?
I’m assuming it’s the .63A/R housing size

Had the same thing happen to me with my AC Delco battery, only mine was out of warranty as it was 7 yrs old .
It showed over 12v on my multiMeter, got it load tested and it failed less than 9volts
