TH2004R kind skips through second when shifting manually
Hi, Thought I'd see if anyone has had this unusual issue before. Few notes about the transmission: less than 2,000 miles but probably 8-10 years old. Timing map for XFI
Hi, I have an XFI and was wondering what kind of max timing (under load) everyone is running. I seem to have very high exhaust temps as soon as I get on the throttle. Shoots to 1500+. Its not lean 12:1 +/-. Running about 20psi with methanol. (non-intercooled) Gonna get back on the dyno next week...- 2buicks

Hot Air 3" Downpipe
Thanks Brian. Is the ATR a 3"? If so, how much? I have an RJC flange that maybe I will modify the ATR to eliminate the elbow...? Thanks Greg- 2buicks

Thanks for the info. Yes, my concern was how tight it would be by the heater box..and where it comes up between the up-pipe and heater box. I have an RJC flange already and was thinking of building a 2.75" version...that would give me the added (minimal) clearance and delete the elbow too...- 2buicks

Hot Air 3" Downpipe
Has anyone used the gbodyparts Hot Air 3" Downpipe? If so, any comments regarding fit? My concerns are how close it comes to the heater/AC box and also the ability to change spark plugs. Any close up pictures (or pictures in general)? I have a 2.5" but I am thinking about upgrading to the 3" but...- 2buicks

Hydraulic roller valve springs
I have a +.050" lock already. Anyone know the factory installed height of a stock GN iron head? 1.75"?, 1.80"? I was perplexed at the minimal height I have to work with.- 2buicks

Thanks for the recommendations. I would like to be able to re-use my titanium retainers (obviously) but if I have to change, I will. I had 26995's in the motor and since I had the heads off anyways, I wanted to up the springs a bit. I was never comfortable with the low spring rate of the 26995.- 2buicks

Heads are off now - (had an exhaust valve seize in the guide and got introduced to Mr Piston) The K-Motion 750 has a bit too much I think (482lb rate) for the hydraulic rollers. Street application with an austemper core. The 750 would be about 378lbs at lift... too much? :confused:- 2buicks

Hi all, Running a 69-200-8 Comp HR and only have 1.68" available installed height. (using a spring locator .060" and +.050" keepers) With a 26915 Comp spring I will have about 142lbs +/- on the seat which is fine. My concern is at lift I will only have about 297lbs +/-.
