What are my options if i dont keep the EFI and optispark, and i dont know about the tranny yet, havent gotten that far into my research

So, bought a regal for a project, making a GNX clone and the trim on the car right now is chrome so i need to paint it. anyone know a good way of taking the trim from the windows without breaking or bending them. -Thanks
