If you can have your shop make the passenger side connector like the drivers side then you should have no issues. i also had to heat my up pipe and do some bending to make the fitment better.
Honestly I don't know, i would think there are other brands that have good quality workmanship. Sometimes OEM is just better, i would rather have something that maybe doesn't look as nice as an aftermarket part, but is quality built.
Ok, thanks, was trying to visualize what you were welding. i welded a piece similar to what is on the left side header where it mates to the crosstube on the right header as well. The right side is a pain in the a….. The connection relies too much on the band clamp, i always had a leak there...
Ok, gotcha now. i have not had any issues on the up pipe, other than bending it with some heat and a long bar when i was trying to get everything lined up on initial install. i can't see any issue welding it at the joint, but you are going to lose ease of mating it to the turbo. Just my 2...
