    Multiple Q's

NM. After further inspection and finding too much black sealer in the oil pan...and the only place I used black sealer was the heads.... The GN did the typical Buick 'pop top' move. I'll strip it down and have the deck and heads machined. So disappointed. But our family Buick blocks in our cars...

Ok. The gramets for the breathers are tight. I made them tight because I thought they should keep the breathers snug. I learned something new...the hard way. So I should loosen them? Please confirm! Attached are breather, DS has gramets on it. PS gramets is still in valve cover. The alky pump...

Not recently. Over two 2 years. I drive the car less than 500 miles/year. So you're implying detonation had taken its toll and my last hard run upto ~22 PSI w/ alky was the final push to get things to come apart. Seems logical. Do you have any experience with the Mahle intake gasket set?

    Multiple Q's

As short story. I found coolant in the oil. No clear pressure build up or "pulsing" was found in the radiator with engine running at temperature and idling after a hard run. (NO I did not realize there was water in the oil until afterward). This was the same day I fixed the coolant leak from a...

I've still got the rest of the year to tidy things up for mine. Still have the AZ reg. and insurance. ...btw that was what the DMV lady told me since my DDs are registered already as in state...she recommended to wait out the out of state tags/regs on the remaining vehicles, trailers etc. so I am.

    Another successful vacuum brake install.

Did you make sure the valve worked before install? Mine did not and I did not want to learn the hard way. I put some silicon lubricant in it to free it up.

    Another successful vacuum brake install.

Yes. With the pedal - must have pedal. I simply "T" ed into the larger vacuum line off the vacuum block on the TB. Its kinda ugly but I don't care. If I drive it more aggressively then I will add the addition check valve to compliment the one at the booster. All vacuum setups that I've see have...

    Tire size question.

Have run Futura on my Riviera for >15 years. No complaints, good wear in my opinion. One of the best reasonably priced tires out there (white wall and white letter). Rest of my Family has run them as well on their classics. As far a Pepboys - I have (and fam) had zero luck or confidence in the...
