Excellent post Murph! They really should put a yellow zone on these water temperature gauges. Most people think they are OK if their engine overheats and they stay out of the red zone, but that is usually not the case. Personally I never operate an engine over 220F. And I avoid going over 210.

I have the green coupler from ZZ Performance. I have ordered and am waiting on delivery for the 2380 oil, amsoil syn gear lube, and 518 gasket eliminator.

By the way, I have been researching this task. It seems that 518 gasket eliminator is a preferred product to use for reassembly.
