    Alky install, Car stalls

Thank Julio, I am going to print this thread to convince the wife that more money is required for the Buick budget. I have been on the fence of getting the translator and upgrading to a newer style MAF. This helps confirm my choice.

    Alky install, Car stalls

Razor, It is a reman maf, 3rd one. i really think it is time for a translator. Forgive me if this completely incorrect but wouldn't lowering the fuel pressure increase the fuel volume?

    Alky install, Car stalls

I will mess around with it and hopefully get it figured out. I am like a kid at christmas, once it was installed i just wanted to go, neglecting to read the tuning write ups on the board.

    Alky install, Car stalls

Map wire is spliced/soldered about 4" from the new 3 bar map sensor included in the kit. Stock style maf. Translator and LS/LT style will be in the future but probably not until after the midwest buick challenge. Rick, Would you suggest a different IGN port, or do you have any other...

    Alky install, Car stalls

Rick, I am currently at work, but if memory serves correct it was set to 6. It felt like it was getting flooded. My fuel pressure is set to 43 with the line off, drops to about 39-40 with the line on. FYI- Your tech session at darien earlier this year was great. Dave

    Alky install, Car stalls

Guys, I just completed the install of Razor's PAC. Great kit easy install. Filled the tank with meth, checked everything for leaks and set out on the maiden voyage, still with boost only set at 18 psi (orignal setting pre-alky kit). When the boost would reach roughly 7-9 psi the car would...

your thoughts on this diamond in the ruff

I found this car with just 14k miles. This car is still original down to the tires and has apparently been sitting since 1990.... I do not think it is all orginal, that possum appears to be quite a bit larger than the stock one. The good thing some of the big turbos nowadays would probably...

    Dropping fuel pressure

buickbert, Let me know what they say, if they are still replacing them. This fuel pump has less than 200 mile on it, the car is not driven to much.

    Dropping fuel pressure

I am thinking i may have a fuel pump going bad, but would like opinoins: When car is cold, turn the key fuel pressure goes to it's setting, AFP set to 43 PSI with the vacuum line off, and can adjust pressure accordingly. After several minutes, 10-15 minutes, fuel pressure will drop to between...
