Biggie filter adapter, remote filter(single or dual)

Back when I was involved with the IRL Indy buick stuff, everything was dry sump,no exceptions,as the stock pump was deemed as inadequate for the application.I'm sure things have improved since then but past experience with endurance wet sumps of any kind have made me rather cautious.

Biggie filter adapter, remote filter(single or dual)

Filter mounting point is important. The closer to the level in the pan, the better.Keep oil lines as short and straight as possible. All filter adapters are not created equal.Check out the ones from CV Products before you buy anything else.Oil filters have been discussed to death, buy a good one...

Biggie filter adapter, remote filter(single or dual)

Reason I asked is the stock pump is anemic to say the least. It was never designed or intended to supply the extra volume needed to fill external lines and filter. If you don't have some kind of impossible space problem, don't bother with a remote.

    Morel roller lifter question

I'm not buying any more comps' of any part # until I see some indication that they have solved their manufacturing problems. The parts are downright crude on the internal fit and finish.

    Mann oil filters?

Mann makes darn good filters, just make sure you get the right one for your application. There are some that will physically fit on domestic engines but are sized internally for a much smaller displacement and don't have the required filter area for larger volume applications.

well the crank is shot too

Stroker crank. The parts will cost the same. You've already broken one stock crank, why replace with another used part?Do it once,do it right, don't worry about it..

Any good hyd roller lifters other than clicky Comps?

That's pretty much it.The surface RA numbers are all very rough as well, almost like they skipped the finish pass..

JW Flexplate Light or Heavy for street car??

We used to use a 30# flexplate in some small block super stock applications and it was worth about a tenth in 60 ft times.I wouldn't hesitate to use it in a street application[tight converter/heavy car].

Any good hyd roller lifters other than clicky Comps?

I don't normally post on threads like this however,as a dealer for comp for over 25 years,I am not very happy with the way they have handled this issue.I recently disassembled a set of "problem" lifters and did a surface finish analysis on the internal parts.I was VERY disappointed at the...
