  • Hey Tom how is it going? good to hear to from you and very impressive times!!!! I never did get a chance to get back to the track after I met you guys there last year. Just got busy with things i guess - I got married beginning of October, so that occupied some time. At any rate, I realized after review my logs at the track, That I wasn't getting full boost until half way through 2nd gear. I have since addressed that issue, which i expect to see a good gain from, but haven't been at the track to verify. I also bought some 325/50 MT drag radials... I think this winter i'll do a mini tub and notch the frame to get the tuck under wheel well.

We'll have to keep in touch for next year, so I can meet you guys out there more often.

I heard phil pulled the tires off the ground last year?? i think rich told me that..

Do you got any plans for your car in the future?

    Happy holidays to you too....

    Nate
Rich knows the guy next to Phil, and when he left there the other day, he painted 2 veeerrryyy long stripes with his stang! Phil is still looking for more horsepower, and "praying for traction"! I hope things are well with you - have good holidays - hope to see you again with your TB. Take care, Tom

Hi Nate - how are you? I hit on an old post about an engine, and I saw you were logged on. I am Tom, ('86 WH1 at New York Raceway), with Rich & Phil (pdzz). I went the last day the track was open - 55 degrees , and they had the track really prepped! It was so sticky that I couldn't even spin my tires leaving the line! I ran 6 runs in the mid to 12.8 Best was 12.59 @ 109.43 on my worn 235/60-15 street tires, at 3850 lbs, 18 lbs boost,19 timing in 1st/2nd - 17 in 3rd/4th, 93 oct - with 25 % E85 (no race gas left at track)
Had a good time - wish I could have got in a few more runs - I'm still trying to fine out what works - the cool air really helped! Then this past Sunday afternoon, with less boost, I think I popped a head gasket into the lifter valley - haven't got into it yet to be sure - but we had lots of fun this summer! (cont)
