    Extra ECM

    ecm i have 3 84=85 ecm's,you need to change 86-87 is the only way,believe me.sometime when you have 5hrs.,3 hrs.here & back to orlando and 2 for change and will put my t-link on your car to see the difference.email me or give me a call 863-428-1539.:p

    tps sensors

    tps sensor sensors not the same.84/85 tb pin is behind arm on tps ,cost 150.00.go to junk yard,get a hand full of 86-90 something,get an ohm meter and have all kinds of fun.the arm will go behind tb pin,and the 2 outside wires will have to be change,a-c,b-b,c-a.i could write a book on this.if...

    How do I get rid of this knock

    knock i hope this will help,when i got my car running.93 oct.1# boost,knock like hell.i put 100 oct. in with no other changes,and at 14# boost i get 0 knock. :p

    when i start car dash blinks.sometimes it will blink every 5 to 10 sec..where do i look to find problem? :confused:

    Is 86 olds ECM ok for conversion????

    86 ecm most likely 86 3.8 olds will have the 7148 ecm which is the right one.i think its in front of glove compartment.:p

    casting #140 block?

    4140 block you don't hear much about this block.i have 1 but have not taken apart.looks like a much stronger block than 14 bolt 84/85 .it has 2 ribs in front like 4291 4.1 block.the 14 bolt block (3.8) had none,109 had 3 ribs.may be a sleeper. :p

    84gn will not run

    84 gn will not run yes i rewired terminals and changed to 42.5 chip.then when i went back to stock injectors i put terminals from newer fwd cars,and yes ismoked a few ecm's.but now i have rung out all ecm wires.i think i will get 1 more ecm from yards,my have burned some of the drivers up...

    10 months on the carport & still not running.changed to 86/87 ecm,ig&coilpack and everything fine.put 009s in and it idled ok,but when i reach anything over 0 on boost it would lose power.a month of that and it was back to stock inj. now it will not run.4 cam sensors,4crank sensors,6ignition...

    id turbo it is either carb. turbo or 84 e-series ,which i think was the riviera.:p

    Wire colors for MAT sensor.

    wire color the black wire is ground and goes to d-12 ecm.the tan wire is the signal and goes to c-11 ecm.:p

    firing order

    :p i think you are right,that is a 86/87 coil pack. the 84/85 coil pack (about an inch taller) has the 1,5,3 in front.

    :confused:will the 3.8 14 bolt girdle fit a 4.1 block?
