Vacuum Leak
i have a vacuum leak but dont know where its coming from, know anyway to find it easy, ive heard of smoke test, how does that work?- GN-joe87

no vacuum, valve or line in tranny?
we suspect a vacuum leak in our 87 3.8 turbo, we heard some rumours that there is a valve somewhere in the tranny that can get clogged or go bad and disrupt the vacuum system, do you have any ideais about this? thanks Joe- GN-joe87

I still have the cold high idle problem on the 87 3.8 turbo, about 2600 to 2700 even afterafter i cleaned the iac and reset the tps, we think its a vacuum leak becasue the cruise control does not work either and that i know is controlled by a vacuum, where should i start to look for a leak, and...- GN-joe87

high idle when cold start
it sits at about 26- 27 for quite a while, i cleaned the aic and re adjusted the tps but its still happening, now we think it might be a vacuum leak because the sruise control does not work either. any common areas for leaks or clogs?- GN-joe87

My uncle has a 87 Gn 3.8 turbo, and latley when we start it up for the first time of the day or when its cold, it has an extremley high idle. this will continue until you drive the car and warm it up, the high idle will kick down if you put it in drive. i was wondeirng what the problem may be...- GN-joe87
