    3800 series engine

I have not worked out full details on this thing. I plainly set a figure that would make me happy as far as hp. I will most likely order a prebuilt frame. The generally use 3800's and s10 transmissions on those. The chasis is prebuilt so that will save me quite a bit of time. However I am not...

    3800 series engine

@300 hp it would have the power to weight ratio of exotic. around 400hp/ton. Its going to be a corner carver. I was looking into the 2.2L ecotec actually and found a bell housing for a 5speed tremec. To me its the challenge of building a supercar for the price of a used crappy car. Fun...

    3800 series engine

I was talking about increasing compression ratio, not increasing cylinder size. I am not considering boring or stroking the block. I am looking at the colorado 3.5L unit witch can easily be bolted to the 5speed manual.

    3800 series engine

Its going to be a corner carver machine. Thanks for the input. I found a website that sells a adapter plate to mount a 3800 to a 5speed s10 trans. Things are starting to come together. I have a question though. How hard would it be to get a 3800 close to 300hp in N/A form? lets say I...

    3800 series engine

what can a stock l36 take? Whats the compression ratio? I am not looking for monster hp as the car will esencialy be uncontrollable with too much hp. As for 500lb for an engine transmission combo, thats actually pretty dam good as the body will weigh about 400lb with the nosecone and panels...
