ALKY Pump
If your leaky “old” pump is the new version, then the $80 head should work fine for your backup. That’s what the new heads are intended for. But if the leaky pump is the old style pump, the new heads are not compatible. Call Julio if you have questions, he won’t steer ya wrong. Should also...- joed

Agree with TexasT. What made you think you were “running out of fuel” in The first place? Totally agree with power logger also. You’ve got champion irons and a nice street turbo no alcohol. Off the top I’d say start at 60’s. If you really want to retain the 42s gotta get wide band or power...- joed

Dog house gasket or rtv?
I’ve got an old (maybe 30++ years old!!) roll of gasket material….kind of a dense mat little heavier than cardboard cereal box which I have also used….idea from earl brown. But used many many times without issue.- joed

Metal pieces in Oil Pan
Well that is shocking. Do you know history of the motor…has anyone been in there? Could this be leftover from an old “repair”. Otherwise…they look important. Somebody will know what those are from. Sorry I feel your pain.- joed

Winter storage for alky system???
Yep. Pump out all the alky and put in just enough of the blue stuff to start pumping thru. Then I just filler up with meth come spring. Water alone in there would be keeping me up at night too!- joed

The fuel pressure is being logged in powerlogger and has always behaved correctly but I replaced pump and wiring anyway since it was old. I have measured and tracked fuel pressure with boost via PL extensively last season while trying to find my "false knock" problem. The fuel rail was cleaned...- joed

I used something like this with a can of carb cleaner to clean the second set prior to install. injector tester The first set was then removed and sent to Grant Farmer and he did his thing measuring flow using cleaning fluid, etc. There was essentially no difference in the flow before and after...- joed
