    "Y" boost line orfice, what size hole?

    .050" is the size it should be. If you enlarge it, you remove the ability of the computer to control the boost. What is the model of your turbo? Which line is the orfice in? How much boost are you trying run?

    Jack, If you have a PTE turbine housing, you shouldn't have to modify the wastegate port, Precision did it for you.

    May I add my two cents? When Terry first started building his pipes we did a lot of experimenting, for him, with different hole diameters. We found that every time we enlarged the hole over 1", we experienced boost control problems. In the end, we found that holes .940-1.00" worked the best...

    I don't recommend that you istall a compressor wheel larger than 67mm in a TE44 compressor housing.

    TE-44 trim question

    TE44 and TA49 turbos use the same compressor wheel and turbine wheel.

    1978 LeSabre 3.8 Turbo Sport Coupe

    The stock turbo for the 78 Buicks was a TB0301. It had a 60 Trim T3 compressor wheel and a 52 Trim T3 turbine wheel (4.2 degree clip). If you are interested, that was the first wastegated T3 automotive turbo Garrett made.

    BIG or small shaft?

    Nick, Look in the compressor inlet, measure the diameter of the threaded portion of the shaft. If it is 1/4" it is small shaft, if it is 5/16" it is large shaft (T04S). There are several different shaft nuts used in the aftermarket so you need to measure the thread diameter. John
