Did I install this cam sensor correct?

    Hello all!

Nice car friend. If its all stock, that's a great find. My advice is to leave it alone and enjoy it as is. If you want to go faster then I would sell it and try to find a nice 86 or 87 at the level you want. You will be way ahead in money and time doing it that way.

    selling my GN

Seems cheap to me but who knows. Some people wait over a year for a TA motor build. Search some similar builds and see what they went for. After watching a never driven, never will be driven GNX go for 200 grand, I think the value of all our cars went up.

Stock maf is fine as long as its isolated from excessive vibration. These have killed alot of stock mafs yet they still sell them. https://www.kirbanperformance.com/Buick/product/188/MASS+AIR+FLOW+SENSOR+BRACKET+%236538.html

Not surprised. Just pull it and get it welded up. Won't be able to tune it properly until its fixed.

Sounds like taking it to a pro is the way to go. I would go to the track and baseline the car before I do anything else once you get the trans fixed. http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/recipes/Staged1.html Check everything that says verify in step one and don't start adding stuff until the car...

oh, I misunderstood your post. I thought you had already done the rebuild. If you pulled the trans yourself, its not all that hard to rebuild it depending on your diy skills. Did it break or just start flaring and shifting like crap?

So have you not rebuilt the trans yet? I thought you had it rebuilt.

If e85 is readily available, that might be the way to go. Kinda like running race gas all the time and you can put a fast tune in it and leave it alone. Just make sure its readily available because mpg and range will go down.

36's, 42's,50's, 60's.... Doesn't really make that big a difference for what your wanting to do. Haven't priced them in awhile but whatever should work. Get the 60's if the price is similar otherwise save a buck if you want. Chip will be programmed for whatever injector you decide and TT...

Great build and works good. Disadvantage is that you will have to run race gas at the track with the Red's chip most likely. Have to switch chip to run pump gas back on street. Alky or e85, you can be set to kill all the time with one tune.
