Stock maf is fine as long as its isolated from excessive vibration.

These have killed alot of stock mafs yet they still sell them.

Don't waste time and money on a old stock maf or a rebuilt one unless you need it for a pure factory stock look. Other than that you are way ahead of the game with a translator and LT or LS maf.

they were great.the cars seem to run really good on them.

Yup. Mine ran great with a Thrasher chip and then a TT 100 octane chip.

Figure out your fuel and go from there. If there's e85 in your area then I would def go with e85. Once fuel is done everything else is pretty simple.
