My heater core just went out a month ago. I had smoke coming out of the dash. I am not a DIY'er with cars, so it cost me $220(51.51 for core, 150 labor, $7 coolant, plus taxes).

Good question. At this point, given that the GN is no longer a daily driver and the rest of the car is original, I am leaning toward stock replacements. Doughboy, Forgive my lack of reply. I simply don't know what a set of OEM speakers is worth. I assume they are used?

Car has original(mostly)paint. I am thinking about having it repainted this winter. What questions should I ask a bodyshop to determine of they will do a good job? Should it be taken down to primer first? Can you get original color(with gold flakes)? What should I expect to pay?

Entire sound system is original. Speakers are dry rotted?blown? Would like to replace. Any suggestions?
