    AC converting back to r12

I'd stick with R-12. Converting to R-134A on an older system designed for R-12 never cools like it did with R-134A. 7-10 years ago it was almost impossible to get R-12, and it was very expensive. Not the case these days. It is easy to get, and not nearly as expensive as it was a few years...

Just got a Scanmaster, need help sorting out my car.

Thanks, yes it is an unbelievably clean car. It shows even better in person. I graduated high school in 1987, and at that time, this was the car to have. I couldn't afford one back then. Now twenty plus years later I finally own one of the cars I lusted for during my senior year. It took me...

Just got a Scanmaster, need help sorting out my car.

Great replies so far. I'm listening. Here's a couple of pics of the car. Keep the suggestions coming. Next time I'm out to my warehouse, I'll record all the scanmaster #'s at idle. [/URL]

Just got a Scanmaster, need help sorting out my car.

Yes, Earl, I agree. When I first got this car several years ago I was dead set on not touching it, and leaving it stock as to not affect it's value. The more that I've read, the more I believe certain upgrades are a must. I won't do anything to butcher the car, but I certainly want to improve...

Just got a Scanmaster, need help sorting out my car.

I'm thinking my next course of action should be a new chip, injectors, and hotwire kit. Should I bother replacing the fuel pump, or just do the hotwire kit first? I did check all the hoses and vac lines today, all looks good. This car has been kept in a climate controlled garage all of it's...

I checked the TPS readings on the Scanmaster today. With engine off, key on, not touching the throttle it read .42 Floored it read 4.6 According to the Scan manual this is within normal range, correct?

Just got a Scanmaster, need help sorting out my car.

Thanks for the replies so far. Yes, A Turbo Tweak chip is on my to do list. Before I go there, I'd like to address why the motor is not running smoothly. Why does it hesitate, stumble? Could this be related to the dated Hypertech chip? Could I have a clogged, bad, or tired injector...

Just got a Scanmaster, need help sorting out my car.

I own a stock, pristine 87GN with 16k miles on it. I've had the car a few years now (bought from original owner), and have rarely driven it since ownership. While the car is in immaculate condition, it has not run right since I acquired it. Now I'm finally getting around to dedicating some...

I'm interested in them. What brand tires? I'm in S. Florida, so logistics may be an issue.

    WTB 1987 Buick Regal Turbo-T WE4.

I could not sell it for less than 30k. Yes, it is that nice. A time capsule. It's the nicest you'll ever lay your eyes on, guaranteed.

I have a mint, untouched, unmolested, survivor 87 GN with 16k miles. I may entertain the idea of a partial trade towards your T/A. I would need more info, photos, ect. first. Rob.
