    Fuel sender connector burnt ?

Sure, those contacts are tiny. I’m guessing that they would not handle 5 or so amps per circuit. So, you’re probably exceeding that especially at 60 psi. Amperage draw is higher. That would explain the melt down as well.

    Fuel sender connector burnt ?

That connector melted due to high resistance through the male pin/female contact. Corrosion on the plating of the contacts or “loose” female contacts which affects the spring force on the pin. Those are common failure modes. Additionally, when using 2 pins to apply power (splitting) sounds like...

84/85 injector wire harness vs 86/87?

    Motortrend GM Muscle Car History

Very well written article with a lot of information on these cars. The one thing I’m wondering is on the development of the GNX. Did they actually modify or replace the cylinder heads ? I was always under the impression that they did not.

GN's built in Pontiac MI per day?

Great info, Thank you. Interesting they upped the Turbo Engines to 125 builds a day. They were also setting up stock for Pontiac ASM for Grand National extensions. Which would be the 1500 Pontiac Turbo Trans Ams in 1989.

GN's built in Pontiac MI per day?

If you pull the rear seat out there should be a build sheet in there. Mine was dated 10/27 which is the date of Fischer body build. Final production was done on the following day. That’s my understanding at least.

Use your scan tool and post the numbers at warm idle. MAF, BLM, INT, BAT, etc. A Powelogger file would be very helpful otherwise it’s a guessing game.

    how's your wheel size

The tire selection for 16x8 rims is almost non existent. There are no 255x50x16 street tires available in my searches. Just some drag radials or 275 versions.

    GN1 72mm T/body

It’s great looking piece, but it’s very pricey. If you have stock plenum adding an RJC power plate will improve the air distribution for considerably less. GN1 claims there plenum improves air distribution, but I haven’t seen any data published verifying that. The gain here is you don’t lean out...

    fuel pump Hotwire issue ??

Just replacing the Relay module may or may not fix your issue. The female connector terminals in the plug can be corroded or damaged which can cause intermittent contact. Here’s a better solution which is reasonable priced :
