    200-4R Throttle Valve Full Presure

When i'm foot brake, bracket racing, the gas pedal is hard to press to the floor. If i remove the TV cable it's much easier and the way i want it. i'm thinking to make a tool, that will hold the cable in full TV position, only at the track. I built the trans with a master kit from CK, it's been...

    200-4R Fluid flow

I plan on racing two classes this race season. so, i'd like to be able to cool the trans when hot lapping, 1/4 mile. i have a 18x18" external trans cooler upfront. that i will put a 16" fan on. i seem to remember something about full flow and lock-up???? Cheers!

    200-4r Governor trimming

current 4800 and 5200. i did not weigh them, been trimming and testing. i understand the light weight is for WOT shifts and the large is for part throttle. maybe i'll trim the larger weight and see if that raises the WOT points.

    200-4r Governor trimming

OK i needed to re-read your post. i misunderstood, i thought it said you removed "the weights". did your governor look like mine when you reached 6800?

EA is that a Lonnie trans? Level 3. did he suggest removing the weights? i would like to understand the difference between VB's. i thought they were cast the same but with different slides and springs.

    200-4r Governor trimming

I think i will simply column shift it and set the light at 5800. I'll work the cockscomb for a better, more positive detent.

    200-4r Governor trimming

if i remember correctly it was 4000 and 4400. i thought doing all the mods in the master kit, that the VB would be the same as say a GN.

    200-4r Governor trimming

The trans originally came out of an Olds diesel wagon. i believe its a OM valve body. I rebuilt the trans with the $1000.00 kit from CK, that was 2 years ago, 2,000 miles and 200 track passes. i had use a floor shifter and shifted at 5800. (different car same drivetrain) In this car i dont...

    200-4r Governor trimming

68 Skylark 3900lbs Buick 455 i bracket race the car with trans selector in 3rd. 1/2 shifts @4800 2/3 shifts@5200 i'd like them close to 6000 I read in the CK book that too light of a governor can cause a lot of problems. i think the governor is trimmed as much as it can be. Cheers!

    2004r 2-3 soft at times

i built it with a master kit from CK. i dont recall what i set it up at, what ever the book said. when i used to have a gage on it, pressures were good and no flair at 2-3

    2004r 2-3 soft at times

2004r 2-3 shift- takes a spit second at WOT 2-3 is firmer at half throttle than WOT. fresh rebuild, deep pan, filled plus 1qt. TV max at WOT. i did drill additional fluid exhaust holes in the drum 1-2 is nice and positive at all times. 2-3 is nice and snappy, except at WOT Cheers!
