    building 700 hp engine videos

Hey, I saw a bunch of hits coming to my site (StreetMuscleAction.com) from TurboBuick and clicked in to read the thread. Thanks for the link. And Black Metal, I hear you on Horsepower TV. Don't have anything against them, but we're definitely trying to be a lot more hardcore. A quick update...

    New Engine Build

I realized I need to make a clarification on my earlier post about the bad intake manifold. It wasn't until we got it back off and took a much closer look that we realized one of the ears had been broken off and repaired. I don't blame KT Engine Development. It's too bad whoever sold it didn't...

    New Engine Build

A quick update: KT Engines had the engine on the dyno but the intake manifold had been bought used and apparantly been repaired before the purchase. It leaked water. A new one has been sourced to replace it. Hopefully, results soon. Thanks for your interest.

About the springs: That's what they rated out at on the spring checker. Yes, Comp says these springs should be 130 pounds at 1.800 installed height, but 90 percent of the time Comps springs will rate higher right out of the box than what they are listed as. I believe this is because Comp gives...

    New Engine Build

I thought the smaller stem sizes were a neat trick. All it requires to cut a good amount of weight is new guides and some lash caps. I don't think oil drainback on the heads will be an issue because it is a dry sump and I'm thinking the external tank will be pretty large. We'll have to get...

If anyone is interested, the third video of this buildup is now up and running. It covers the cylinder heads (GN1R) and valvetrain. You can find it at StreetMuscleAction.com.

    Rear Main Seal Replacement

I've been there before, but not with a Buick. There's nothing worse than changing the rear main seal and then discovering the leak was somewhere else.

    My pic's of GNX 475 at Barrett-Jackson

Was there any significance to the dry cleaner's bag in the trunk?

    MODERN day GNX....SLEDGEHAMMER

One of the great things about the GNX was you could parts for it pretty easy, is that the case with an AMG?

Hey Turbofabricator, you're right. I'm putting the videos together and that's a mistake I've got to go in and fix tonight. I guess it was too many hours straight in front of the computer. Total valve lift is 0.553 inches. I somehow took that as lobe lift and multiplied it again by the 1.6:1...
