I was stirred into action when I read the thread about the Scam operated by a company using the web site SOFTWARE-HQ.net. This company somehow twisted me out of $69 when I tried to re-new my AVG annual licence. I do not know how they did it, but somehow they obtained my credit card details. My Bank is currently investigating and I will send them details of your correspondent, Turbojimmy, join date May 2001. It would seem they did a similar job on him as on me. How on earth have they been allowed to get away with this practice? And this practice seems to have been going for the past nine years at least. I note the advice given about disputing the charge, I already have done so, but the merchant bank is fighting that course. I will keep this site posted of developments. Smudger
