Grand national chrome wheels widen to 8"

Budnik is one of three companies making alum GN wheels now. It just depends on how much you want to spend and how nice of a wheel you want. I went tens in the quarter mile on my old steel wheels. I thought there was some bragging rights with that.

Grand national chrome wheels widen to 8"

Back in the day, I widened a set of stock GN wheels to 8". This was with a 275/60/15 M/T DR. The best back spacing seemed to be 4", if you were running the stock steel 1/8" thick drums. I was running the aluminum drums, that are 1/4" thick. This made the best back spacing 4 1/8". And that's what...

    Good morning, Americans...it's FRIDAY

I guess it's what you're use to. Living in So Cal, I freeze my ass off when temps plummet into the low 60s. Nick Micale (and my friends from Hawaii) would freeze his ass off at my house while wearing a ski jacket when it was mid 70s. I'm not sure I could take it where you live when the temps...

    Spoolfool's Christmas time contest.

Congrats to Dynoman (Sam) for winning the Drip-Lip with your split block at BG. I remember hearing about it when that happened. Everyone was talking about it. I do have a question. Did the engine have a Drip-Lip on it when you blew it up?

    Spoolfool's Christmas time contest.

Congrats TurboT Guy. Even though it wasn't engine carnage, it was a well told story of your white knuckle ride. Glad it wasn't any worse than it was. Think I'll go out and check the torques on my wheels. Thanks everyone for some entertaining posts. Happy New Year and lets hope 2026 spools up...

That's a wild ride. I've always thought of Weld Wheel as a company with quality products. Guy. Did you buy them new? Wonder if they had any past history of getting bounced off a curb or something before you got them.

Nothing for them yet. I've had so much on my plate that it's rare that I can get caught up. I know that you guys want body kits. Just not sure that there is enough of a market for them at the price I'd have to charge to break even. I do love those things. It was great to have some at BG this year.

It's that time again. Going to keep this one simple. Just a fun contest that the winner will be picked New years eve. Best response wins one of my Drip-Lip, oil catch thingies. I call it my stupid idea that works. Also, wanted to thank everyone for all the support for all the crazy stuff I've...
