    Sounds like carb issues to me. The electronicaly controled carbs were touchy beasts. If it's not set up right or you are getting bad input from one of the sensors, the car will run very rich.

    Thanks for the input. I'll have to some digging I guess. If it gives me too much aggrivation I'll either have to swap in another 4.1 or toss in the '70 GS 350 engine I have laying around!

    All you have to do is hunt down a picture or two of an 82 Grand National. They look AWESOME with the front and rear spoilers!

    Flex plates

    Are the flex plates the same for the 3.8 and the 4.1 V-6? I finally got the 82 running and it has a bad vibration between about 2000 and 3000 RPM. I know the engine had been changed with another 4.1 but have no idea if the correct plate was used. Thanks

    Exhaust hangers

    I've got the exhaust already, it's the hangers that are proving to be hard to locate. I had the Turbo exhaust on my first '82GN and have to put it on my current one. Walker made everything I needed except the hangers. D'oh!

    I'm gathering the parts up to replace the single exhaust on my '82 with the "Dual Exhaust" twin resonator setup. Does anybody have a source for the correct exhaust hangers? The local muffler shops keep telling me to use universal ones. Not gonna happen!
