has anyone here ever changed their own tranny here?
I installed mine for the fifth time about a month ago, and my rebuilder showed me a little trick to assure the converter stays seated on install. He ran some mechanics wire through the gap behind the boss where the bolts thread into the converter(for stock D5, don't know about other...- taz

Chris, Thanks for the reply. The valve body and governor are original. The mechanic put the TV upshift spring that wasn't in the 200R4s back in to see if it would change anything, and, of course, no change. I will have him cut a coil at a time off the TV limit spring and see where that puts...- taz

I just had my 200R4 rebuilt by a local guy. It has the 1-2 red band, super servo, hardened input, drum and a transgo reprogramming kit. The converter is a stock D5. I can not get the shift points down without pulling the TV cable out far too many clicks. Following the well known procedure...- taz

Second tranny in...second tranny out!
I pulled the pan on my 200R4 tonight and found the clutch material I predicted, but also found a very thin disk shaped piece with a hole in the center and about 4 pieces of what look like a snap ring. They are about 1/4" long and curved. I had the tranny rebuilt ~300 miles ago, and installed it...- taz
