    What is the average T/C slip on todays new converters?

    My best last year was 11.994 @112.59 with a poor 1.843 60, through the mufflers, in drive, launching @ 4lbs. When I get my 60's where they should be it will et where I want it. I dont have a lot of seat time in this car so I'm having fun putting laps on it. The 2 step will be great.

    Thanks for the awesome converter. I let it shift itself @ 5284. As far as spool its instant, I am waiting to get a 2 step and that should help me control it off the line.

    Sorry, this is what I went through last year, the wallace calc has me slipping 8.19%. The tci is higher? I hope its not just me. BTW this is unlocked!

    I have a 2400 l/u I went through my notes and if my calcs are correct I had a pass with 11.59%. I'm pretty sure I had some high 9%'s also. HTH

    Contact Dusty (PTC) directly, he will provide you with the best converter. You will get a lot of opinions on converter stall, but only one matters. :cool:

    I used one on my daughter's '70 chevelle. It was'nt an effortless bolt in, it took a little clean up on the fiberglass, but it looks great finished. I have friends who have used them, one a g body, looked good.

    I bought an Acer netbook with a 10.1" screen, uses XP, has over 6 hour battery life, and cost about $325. Works perfect for Powerlogger. HTH

    Frame Swap Problem

    Make sure the trans yoke has no twist in it, that will not allow the trans output shaft to sink all the way into it, also full extension of the shocks may not necessarily be the furthest the rearend is from the trans.

    Your 20+ lbs is typical with an unported wastegate hole and the puck disconnected on most any turbo above stock.

    If the trans mount is old and smashed flat, replacing it will raise the rear of the engine and the dp should clear the frame.

    My powerlogger file

    This is a short run. I upgraded to a PTE 6162 and new tt chip, now I have an intermittent exhaust pop. WB is PLX, Alky is at 6. Thanks for taking a look.
