Well I just pulled the trigger and bought an 06 Duramax. Dually and 4x4 with long bed. Traded in my 05 Buick/GMC 1500 truck. Only driven it about 50 miles but so far I love it. Cant wait to hook up a trailer and pull a load. Unfortunately I will probably being dumping a lot of cash as there are a bunch of upgrades available for these thing. Pictures will come later tomorrow in the daylight, it was dark by the time I got home today.

Enclosed trailer here I come.

Here are the pictures.

You should be happy with it. My 06 3500 is my second Duramax and after 4+ years I'm still happy with it and have no intention of replacing it with any of the new, even more complicated, smogged to death diesels out there.

Congrats. I still have the 2001 Dmax I bought new. Great truck. Now get the baddest biggest drag race car trailer you can handle... and haul in style ;)

That's a nice looking truck! The husband wants one...but he naturally wants the $50K version...so far I'm opposed.

Nice truck! I really want a Duramax and have been looking off and on for about a year now. What kind of deal did you get, if you don't mind me asking? My friend picked an 04 GMC 3500 Duramax dually 4x4 fully loaded with around 100k on it for $13.5k, and I thought that was a deal about a year ago. Not sure what they are going for now....

It has 44,000 miles on it. I paid 29,000 for it. Luckily I know the previous owner, he is a customer of mine so I can find out what he did to it. So far it is great. Bought it saturday. Drove it to St Louis, 100 miles one way, on Sunday for a Buick club meeting. Today i pulled my small 18 foot trailer around with a couple riding mower on it to deliver, could not even tell there was a trailer back there.
