pull the #1 sparkplug..stick your finger in the plug hole....turn the motor over slowly...when the compression blows yor finger out...your on the compression stroke......now rotate your crank pass TDC clockwise to your tape mark 25*ATDC....now set your cam sensor...no need to pull the valve cover!...this is a 4 stroke engine ....hope this helps joe
Thanks everyone! It was the crank sensor. Although it was setup for the first slot (farthest from the connector) it wasn't set up quite right and the balancer ring tore up the connector.
It's ok I learned something new. I might be able to share that one day with a newbie.
