Congrats to Roush, Martin and Kenseth, but....

I've had a hard time getting excited about this whole season. I've been a NASCAR fan for many years (even before it was fashionable!) and there's just no drama anymore! Everyone's so concerned w/ what there sponsor thinks and what their next endorsement's gonna be....

I can't stand Tony Stewart but at least he and Harvick put some excitement in it before Mike Helton and the France's broke their spirit. These new guys like Kenseth, Johnson and McMurray are nice guys.... TOO nice!

Who'd have thought a few years ago that the driver getting black flagged for rough driving would be the "Rainbow C#cksucker" Jeff Gordon!

Ah, well....Don't pay any attention to me. I'm just venting over the most BORING season in recent memory. We Earnhardt fans are a tough bunch to please!

While I'm on the subject, "RESTRICTOR PLATES SUCK!!"

I actually like the new rule. It makes it a lot safer for the drivers and a lot saver for the safety crues trying to get to the scene of the wreck.

Not a big Kenseth fan, but they did earn it. I would have liked to see him crash yesterday so that Jr., Johnson, Neman etc, had a chance to make it a show down here at the last race.

I've never seen a Championship GIVEN to anyone. They all earned it. To whom are you referring?

I'm referring to all the hype people have put behind JR. Kennseth did earn it. Just because daddy was good does not make kiddy just as good.
I feel kinda sorry for Earnhardt jr. just because all the pressure that's put on him to live up to his father.
It just seems to me that alot of the people who want to change the points system are jr fans.
Last year Kennseth had the most wins with 5 and finnished 8th in points. I'm definately for saying great job to Kennseth as well as saying stop your whinning to the people who think their man should've won.

That's why I love NASCAR! Auto racing and golf are the only two real sports left. Unlike all the other "stick and ball" sports, these two are the only ones where you get paid according to your performance. Stop winning or qualifying well and see how long your sponsor hangs around. In golf, if you don't finish in the top 125 money winners for the year, you go back to "Q-school" just to try to get on the tour next year.

Whether you like the instant fan base Jr. gets because of his dad or not the fact remains: HE HAS THE TALENT! This apple didn't fall far from the tree. Did he have advantages coming in to DEI? You bet he did. But he still has to drive it every Sunday and he does that VERY well! He's subject to all the same rules and conditions as everyone else.

Im the biggest jr and sr. fan in the world yes, he got a lot when he came in but who doesnt anymore, jimmie johnson, newman, these days sponsors want young guys. jr. has a lot of talent and will get 2nd this year and win next year.

Kenseth was the most consistant so he got what he deserved.As for questioning Jr's talent,two Busch championships in two years speaks for itself.The real travesty was the Craftsman truck race yesterday.Brendan Gaughan should of been the champion hands down but some yahoo crahed and took Brendan out with him totally destroying his truck. Oh well,that's racing.

Speaking of sons of drivers that were given everything...um,..Kyle Petty anyone? Comparing the talent of hall of fame drivers' sons, I would say Dale Jr. is the more talented of the 2 and will win a championship in his career unlike Kyle.
