i had a dream about a car like that one time but in my dream it had a chain gun mounted like a snout supercharger and it was a rare military armored vehical prototype called the socumber that i found in a barn :D it took me about a month to realize i was dreaming about a riviera

I think I remember reading awhile back about a Riv or another old Buick getting a GN motor and such. I think it was Hot Rod. I'll look if I get a chance. That would definitely be an awesome car!!

The '65's are sweet second only to the '67's in MHO in looks. :)

The '63-64 versions were non-hidden headlamps and the 63's were available with leather interior and many were fully optioned.

Good choice for a GN drivetrain.

But you won't make the nailhead guys happy. ;)

Rivvys are sweet cars.

Sweet car!

That thing's got to weigh a TON!

If you were looking for a car to define "Personal Luxury", that would be it.

My Biz partner is selling his 65 Riv..looks just like the one on ebay! It is just finishing off a total restoration in California. if interested in it, email privately....Beautiful Car no doubt!!! :)

The last couple years at the Nats there was a red 64/64 Skylark w/ a TR driveline. I also remember, last year, there was an early '60s, black Skylark with a TR drivetrain as well.

that was a 67 skylark, i own 2 of them and if eather one of there engines lets go you all know whats going back in there.

I'm glad we all agree it would be one bad car! Fryer: As soon as I finish building my garage I'm going to be looking for something like this. It probably won't be until the winter though. :( It would be excellent to find one in great condition with a blown engine. The chances of that are almost none, but it would be great anyways.

Well, the auction is over and it looks like someone got a great car for $12,900. Too bad it wasn't me. :(
