1977-79 Buick Delta 88 A/C Delete How rare?

Not turbo tech so I thought I would throw this out there for you guys in the lounge. Today I found a 77-79 Delta 88 that was an A/C delete car from the factory. I have never seen a Delta without A/C before and figured it must be rare. I know there isn't a huge demand for these parts but thought it might be neat to have them just because they might be rare. Any idea where to find out just how rare these items might be? If nobody can use them I'll just stick them in a box with the super rare factory Delta 88 gauges that I found last year.

Maybe someone optioned it out as a lightweight drag car?

No, probably not but it does seem like it might have been a "colder climate" car where AC is not important.

A cynic would say they must be pretty rare because the Delta 88 was made by Oldsmobile, not Buick . My parents owned about 4 different Old's, and I don't think I've ever seen an 88 or 98 without a/c.

Oh my! I didn't even realize I typed that!! I should have my car taken away for 1 year, at least!! I guess I should type before I start drinking. Last night I started my May 5th celebration a little early and, apparently, wasn't thinking too clearly after 3 Rolling Rock beers. Hopefully this isn't too bad as I've only had 2 Margaritas and 2 Rolling Rocks. Damn that 10 min rule or I would fix that stupid mistake. Thanks again for pointing that out.
