First time thread !!! Looking to buy a regal, but really don't know what I should be paying for one. I found a 1984 T-type regal with t-tops. Used the web site edmundson.com for pricing, but thought you guys would be the best to ask. The car is pretty much all factory besides the rims, but it comes with the factory ones. 74K original miles, column shift, leather interior with bench seat, and two tone paint. Help please !!!!

i'd say $5k or so tops if it's in good shape.
but what do i know- i only paid $2k for mine with a blown head gasket and only 58k on the odometer..

I'd agree with Novaderrik $5000 max. I got mine for $2500 with 120k miles on it and it ran perfect. (wish I could get it to run that good now, oh well at least its faster!!)

NO WAY!! are they serious? For that price you can get a good condition intercooled buick with some mods already done. makes me wonder what I can get for mine. come on guys 2k on a rebuilt motor and all the mods in my sig and I'm only asking $20,000:biggrin:

When I went to get my 85 T Type licensed, they looked up
the value for tax purposes and they told me book value on it
was $8300. I didn't argue with them.

I gave $6500 for my 84 GN with 63,000 original miles. It did have a new motor in it though, that had approx. 5,000 on it. And the car was in very good condition. Yes NADA has a nice value on it if your trying to sell the car, (it does with all the year model GN's and T-types) but the market currently is actually running anywhere from 15%-25% lower than their book value calls for on these cars if you look at the selling prices on most of the turbo buicks, mostly because of the condition of our economy right now.
