How rare are these cars? I went to beforeblack.org and the site said that only 1024 Century Grand Sports were made. I saw 1 at the wrecking yard today that only had TTYPE emblems but no Grand Sport emblems. It was white with blackout trim, bucket seats, floor shifter. From what I know the Grand Sport was only available in black. It was actually in good condition. I grabbed the console, emblems, floor shifter, ECM #1227148, and header panel. Im going back tommorow for the bucket seats, shift cables, and possibly the transmission (For our broke down Century :frown:). The transmission in these are the "performance" ones right? I really only need the header panel so maybe one of the FWD members can use the rest. But anyhow....anyone know the production number of 86 Century T TYPEs?

theres another site I believe dedicates soely to these cars... there rare, but not really desirable though However... I did see an Electra T-type Today, white with t-type badges, blackout and tan leather interior.

yeah there isnt a huge market for these cars but im looking foward to grabbing the trans out of this one. i really need to sell the century we have soon. once i get the trans from the yard and install it im going to put it back on CL. if it doesnt sell then im going to donate it to a local church that gives cars to church members who are in need. the century t type i saw today was the same color scheme as my Regal. if i had that one...it would be cool to do a supercharged 3800 swap for a DD. i would probably get laughed at by my boys but im sure a SC 3800 in that little car would be awkwardly fun. i read up a little bit and found out that approx.

5000 Century T Types were made in '86.

Let me know what parts you are getting rid of, I have a 87 that I like to keep a few parts around for as it has been in the family since 89. See if it has the tach in the dash, if it does, I may want it!;)
