1st gear kickdown question

Ok. My car runs fine as far as transmission goes, but I believe that the speed/rpm limit for first gear kickdown is too high. What I mean is that I'm going to fast, & have too many rpm's for the trans to be kickin' down into 1st. At this point it should be kickin down to 2nd. How do I modify this? Is this a hard part or a function of the chip?

There are several ways to change shift characteristics. Each does it differently and can affect other things. What you change should be kept track of so you can reverse it if you don't like the results. Check your pm.
