ok...I havent had the car for too long but Im leaning about them and looks like I shouldnt have bought it due to them being very high maintance cars.

So here it goes...Car is very nice with a couple small dings on body. Gray/Goldish Paint looks good though. Leather interior. About to hit 66,000 miles. Runs good but trans does slip sometimes in reverse.

Well, thats pretty much I know...maybe you might know more about these vehicles but let me know if you have any questions.

asking $10k obo...lmk if too high. or any input you have.

Audi

I had a 2002 a4.....it was Dolphin gray. It had a different front fascia (i think it was an s4, or rs4). I had 19's on it....black leather interior.
Realistically, the car was a 9.5 out of 10, and had 90,xxx miles.
I had already done the infamous timing belt, so that was no worry to the next buyer. Plus I had the 1.8t, which had a much bigger aftermarket.

Ultimately, I sold it for 9,200 about a year ago....but I think I had a car that had the "look" that would appeal to a lot of buyers. Also, it was a 9.5 out of 10.....and looked like it had 15,xxx miles. So i think your price may be high. I see the 2002's selling for less, because they had a lot of quirks that were worked out in later years of that body style. I hate to say it, but I think you'd be lucky to get 7,500.

good luck with the sale...i hope I'm wrong! :)

I really appreciate our feedback! Do you have any pics of the Audi you use to have? What kind of wheels? Also how much do you think I can get with the problems I listed...what would be a fair asking price?

Thanx

Sure....I think I have quite a few pics. I'd post them here but I'm not sure how. Let me know your email and I will email them direct to you, unless you can tell me how to post them.
If you have any more pics...post them. Maybe we can come up w/ a good asking price for your car.

I take it it's not a Quattro it's a 3.0 CVT trans you shouldn't feel the thing slipping as a matter of fact you shouldn't feel it shifting at all unless you have an issue in the clutches ( there was a tsb about updating from 6 to 7 clutches to cure a hesitation on acceleration) and the other issue they had was the trans control unit would go bad and the thing would shift funny. Yes they are super expensive to maintain the 3.0 had cat converter isses and the cats are like 1k a side. As far as asking price with the milage you have 10k is a good price but will be harder to sell because its not a Quattro. Good luck on the sale

Oh yeah....I forgot to mention mine had quattro. I think that might raise the value a bit.

pics sent

sent pics to your email....tell me what you think. Like I said, I got 9,200 for it, and it sold to the first person who looked at it. But, it was also a very desirable color combo, and had alot of goodies that people like, such as HID headlights, 19 inch rims, de-badged, fulll tint, quattro, 1.8t, etc. Plus...it had the timing belt done by audi, with a warranty from audi.

Your car looks really clean too. Send me some more pics if you dont mind.
