Ok, I've installed the TCI reverse pattern manual valve body in my 2004R, eliminating the need for the TV cable. I need to know the best way to plug the hole where it went. I've already tried unsuccessfully using part of a cable housing, filled with silicone and the little bastard keeps leaking. I don't want to thread the hole and use a pipe plug in it, in case I ever want to go back to the BRF valve body and TV cable setup.
Question is, does anyone know a good way to plug this leak source? Does anybody make a SOLID plug that can be installed in this hole without screwing up the case for possible future use with a TV cable setup? (There isn't enough room for the TV cable housing in the tranny tunnel on my car anyway, hence, a plug is needed.)
I have access to CNC milling equipment, and could easily make something solid the same shape as the cable housing, but don't want to "re-invent the wheel" if someone already has something suitable available.
Any advice is welcome, because Royal Purple Max ATF is expensive to be dripping and it's messy as hell too.
BTW, the TCI manual valve body works perfectly, no check balls, no TV cable, and I can chirp every gear change 1 through 4 simply by staying on the gas when shifting. (Keep in mind, this tranny is behind a Nissan L28 Turbo in an 82 Datsun 280ZXT, (custom bellhousing and flexplate adapters made) and I'm using the B&M Quicksilver ratchet shifter with a Dakota Digital shifter position indicator mounted in the dash...sweet setup and a FAR cry from the stock Nissan crapola tranny)
Thanks in advance for the help.
