 , it should be a fun ride

that car is BAD.. your going to have to run mid 10's in your GN to hang with it.. it should run 10.80's at 136 to 137 mph STOCK :)..

Finally they are putting something out that will give us a run for the money, is about time, it only took them 20 yrs LOL. :)

It doesn't matter what car you get, your still going to have to put out the same money.

10k for a GN, then another 45k in upgrades to hit low 10's = 55k

New corvette, probably 70k.

But like you said mike, that car sure is bad ass!!!

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah Try $150,000.00 for this Supercharged ZR1 ;)

Fwiw, it has already been announced, printed, and or leaked out intentionally by GM management that the MSPR on the '09 ZR1 will be a kool 100K right out the gate, and only about 20K will be made in all production year/years "Dealer Incentitive", "Deaer Market Adjustment" call it whatever you will probably, well, who can really count that high. Lou's turbo Porsche is probably already having a hard time with the awareness adjustment now.

Lou's Turbo Porsche will need a lot of help to even start to compete with the new 09 ZR1.
The only car on the road I fear is that lunatic Drip Pan if something like that sawed me off I would shoot myself.

Bone stock 06 Z06 on runflats has gone 10.98 @ 128 - so lighter with 100 more rwhp - well into the 10's shouldn't be an issue.

it's going to be all about how they get that 100HP to the ground with the lighter weight.. it will run 10's, but i don't know how deep..

Thats a lot for a lil Chevy ;)

for a limited run (about 2500 over 4 years) and making that type of HP.. it's not that bad..

the frist one will be sold on Barrett Jackson next month.. wait in till you see how much that sells for.. i state 750K.. if the frist GT500 Conv went for 520K, i think the Vette will pull it that amount and more..

Not from what I've seen at Irwindale 1/8th mile mid 8's. When underboost was still in the high 7's he was kicking their ass along with modded out Viper's.

Sorry Lou, but a 2007 Z06 stocker ran 10.98 on stock tires at MIR.. he installed DR's and ran 10.70's... wth a good driver and the right track, it will do it..

For the sake of argument I ran the vette on my quarter Jr. program with 505 H.P. & perfect traction the best a 3200# car & add drivers weight can do is about an 11.50. @ 125 mph That's all I know. The car had to be modded & have at least 600 hp. to run that quick. Stock they are rated at 11.7 @ 125. 00 with an expert driver.

It would not suprise me if the times & traps are corrct as 2 of the quickest C5 Z06 shoes a few years back went under the user names of Ranger & Jrod, but I don't remember if that was their user names on the corvette forums or on this board, and one of their fathers was a member here with a turbo buick. Haven't seen either one post for quite some time now.
About post # 19 or so. Over two years ago they were both running about 11,4's or so in basically stock C5 Z06's with only tire & air filter changes, I believe.
