Hey guys, I have a 85 olds 442 with a build 200R4 and i recently have found that when i went drag racing there is a delay at full throttle when i shift. if anyone has any suggestions about this sort of problem let me know. thanks. Dave
I had the same problem with my OZ code trans. (Hurst Olds). I went through it (3) times before getting it right. It turned out being too much clearance in the direct clutches and improperly adjusted servo. What has been done to your trans and who did the work?
A guy that builds trannys where i live. what do you mean back off the cable? away or towards the firewall? my rear only has 342s. he told me to put bigger gears that it might help. Or i can make it manual valve body.

If you are still running a 200r4 filter in the pan then fill it to the middle of the back and forth bends on the dipstick for starters.
As far as the cable goes adjusted it as tight as you can with out limiting WOT.
Then adjst a few clicks awAy from the firewall. Just know that large more than 1/4 could smoke the trans so do a click at a time. If you feel the shidfts get softer as you adjust thats too much.
If you decide to do the psi test here is a site that has a chart.
